Sign-up

Entry requirements

You can join the challenge if you meet the following criteria: 

• You are a student in a LIACS bachelor programme (either the CS or DSAI programme). 

• You have at most two remaining failed first year courses. 

• You have passed the first year courses Introduction to Programming and Algorithmics. 

Finding team members

• You need to sign up as a group of 4-6 students. 

• To find additional team members, you can indicate your interest on this Discord Channel. 

Sign-up

• You can sign up by emailing to Thomas Moerland: t (dot) m (dot) moerland (at) liacs (dot) leidenuniv (dot) nl

• Make sure you get a confirmation of your sign-up (if you don't: email again!).

• The deadline for sign-up is Thursday September 28, 2023, 23:59 CET. 

• Decisions will be communicated shortly after. The first meeting is Tuesday October 10 (see schedule).   

• You sign up as a group of size 4-6.

• In your application, include: 

  • All your names, student numbers and email addresses. 

  • A one-page application letter, where you describe 1) your motivation as a team, and 2) your skill set as a team (what experience have your team members got, and what do they want to contribute). 

Selection

• There is place for 6 student teams in total. 

• When there are too many applications, selections will be made based on your motivation letter.

• Decisions are communicated in the last week of September 2023.
